Shawn attended East Central University in Oklahoma, majoring in Criminal Justice. In ’93, he moved to Austin, Texas and began working for a locally owned home security company in the home builder department. He worked his way up to Operations Manager, then in ’95, he went on to open a branch in Corpus Christi. He became licensed with the Texas Department of Insurance and the State of Texas Fire Marshalls where he continues to hold a Superintendents license. In ’96, Shawn became Operations Manager for Austin, then in ’98 he became Director of Operations—successfully running the company for 14 years while also becoming Qualifying Manager for the Texas Security Board. Over the years he developed many strategic relationships in the security industry with key, upper-level executives. In October of 2010, Shawn opened Texas Security & Surveillance™, specializing in high- end security installs, biometric access systems and high-end access and control systems. Some of his clients have included; Jimmy Jacobs Custom Homes, Standard Pacific of Texas, MI Homes, Kroger Groceries, University of Texas, UT Methodist Church, Pflugerville ISD, Round Rock ISD, City of Round Rock MHMR, Chuy’s Mexican Restaurants, Koke FM, Life Works/ Michael Dell Foundation, Rockdale Juvenile Center, Scubaland, Ferrari of Austin and Brake Specialists. He is actively involved in his community in Round Rock, Texas where his children attend school.
Greg has working in home and commercial security solutions since 2002. He got his start in door-to-door security sales and worked his way up to management. He has trained numerous technicians on how to be successful and says the experience has in-turn, taught him a lot about effective customer service. Greg attributes success to a “good work ethic and being attentive to the customers needs.” He has worked for clients such as The Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo, Brake Specialist, Austin’s Pizza, Kings Isle Entertainment, Paul Mitchell School, Hill Country Science Mill and Grace Academy as well as thousands of homes throughout South Central Texas.
